Wedding Planning: Choosing colors

In planning my wedding the greatest challenge I have had so far is choosing colors; I love yellow :Yellow symbolizes wisdom. Yellow means joy and happiness. People of high intellect favor yellow. Yellow daffodils are a symbol of unrequited love. Sunday's color is yellow-gold).  Not just any shade of yellow – I love butter yellow and Ivory-yellow (some call it daffodil)
Why Yellow:
Yellow is Pure, bright and sunny yellow is the easiest color to see (someone told me before, that only bold people wear yellow). People who are blind to other colors can usually see yellow. Yellow is full of creative and intellectual energy – yellow promotes the ability to be expressive and stimulate movement and mental awareness. (Thanks to Google – wink wink) I have to agree bcoz I love it <3
So I have checked out various yellow themes for weddings, and I am amazed at how many colors yellow goes with. (Yellow and Purple( rare and unique), yellow and green (too usual), Yellow and brown (common),  yellow and grey (elegant), yellow and water melon (classy), yellow and black … – you just name it) I think yellow can go with any color just as black is to white.
Below, inspiration boards that have made me draw up a conclusion (not final) as to what colors to use for the wedding (can’t publish the colors yet, but you could have an idea)

For the Groom

Style
Your wedding day gives you the opportunity to scrub up and make a statement about your style. Rather than simply letting someone else tell you how to dress for your wedding day, this is your chance to show her that your style has evolved since your days you met. While your look will need to complement the bride’s, you can still pretend you're shooting the fall fashion edition of GQ. Express yourself in a smart suit that will remain timelessly cool. Having said that, the South Park ties and novelty vests or socks are not the
 right answer...

Tux
The style of suit will depend on the formality of the wedding. A beach wedding lends itself to a fresh linen look while a more formal affair might call for tails. The time of day and the season will have a bearing on your choice of suit and accessories, so keep that in mind if you’re considering a top hat for a breakfast reception or an overcoat. Try the International Formalwear Association Tux guide for more info.
Color
Tonal shades are very fashionable, so you don’t have to keep to black. Smoky blue, charcoal and subtle greens are fresh alternatives to the black suit. Have the bride take a swatch of material from the bridesmaids’ dresses for you so you can make the perfect match. Tone your shirt with the color of the suit for an ultra-smooth effect.
Hair
Get your hair cut no later than a week before the wedding. That day-of haircut says you're a last-minute man. The wedding only lasts a few hours, but the pictures will be around forever. Look good.
Shoes
Patent leather or Faux Patent? Take your pick, both can look good. Our advice: No wingtips.
Groomsmen
Allow us to state the obvious: make sure they all match. There's nothing wrong with letting them wear their own tux, just ensure it looks close enough. Also, involve them in the process and don't be a dictator here

The Innocence of Children

A little girl walked daily to and from school. Though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trip to school. As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lightning.

The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school, and she herself feared that the electrical storm might harm her child. Following the roar of thunder, lightning, like a flaming sword, would cut through the sky. Full of concern, the mother quickly got in her car and drove along the route to her child's school.

As she did so, she saw her little girl walking along, but at each flash of lightning, the child would stop,
look up and smile.

Another and another were to follow quickly, each with the little girl stopping, looking up and smiling. Finally, the mother called over to her child and asked, "What are you doing?"

The child answered, "Smiling. I am trying to look pretty, God just keeps taking pictures of me.

Decoding the Color of Roses

redrose-pic-11I am sure everyone has heard that red roses signify true love and passion, which is why red roses are in high demand during Valentine’s Day; but what do the other colors of roses mean? Whether you are in a new relationship and not ready to give red roses, or you simply want to congratulate your friend for a job well done, I am going to help you decode the color of roses, so you don’t send mixed signals to the recipient.

Red Roses:  mean love, passion, true love, deep love and everlasting love. Red Roses are generally reserved for your partner.

Dark Pink Roses also represent love, but a simple and light hearted love, possibly a new love or relationship.

Light/Pale Pink: Roses are given to express sympathy.

Blue Roses mean mysterious. Perhaps you are trying to understand your partner?

Purples Roses represent love at first sight and also represent passion.

Green Roses represent fertility.

White and Red Roses together signify love and unity.
White Roses, like a white wedding dress, symbolize purity, innocence and loyalty.

Black Roses are a symbol of death and usually aren’t happily received. However, sometimes black roses can represent a new beginning.

Yellow Roses represent friendship and freedom. These are great flowers to give to your friends.

Orange and Peach Roses are given to congratulate someone for a job well done, such as a graduation or a promotion. Orange roses are also usually used in flower arrangements for fall weddings, and peach roses are also a nice way to express sympathy.

PSALM 23.

"Even though I walk
   through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
   for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
   they comfort me".
I really love the picture, really relates to Psalm 23. even though its looks scary and such - i had to share it on my blog ;) [ God is with us, rest assured in that, he will never leave us nor forsake us]
